The Formula 1 Exhibition will head to Buenos Aires to make its South American debut as part of a wider tour of the region.

In partnership with Fenix Entertainment, Argentina’s capital will become the fifth city to host the F1 Exhibition when it opens its doors on March 22. The show has previously held record-breaking runs in Madrid, Vienna and Toronto, with London’s show named the ‘Best Visitor Experience’ at The Access All Areas Awards.

The Buenos Aires edition of the exhibition will open for a limited run until June 1, and will feature contributions from teams, personalities and iconic South American drivers. Highlights include Formula 1 race cars from a range of eras, rare artefacts and exclusive video content. Additionally, visitors can experience what it would be like to sit in the seat of an F1 driver with the F1 Fastest Lap Simulators.

“As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, the importance of acknowledging the sport’s history and heritage is even more poignant,” commented Emily Prazer, Formula 1’s chief commercial officer.

“Since the first show in Madrid, F1 Exhibition has been a great success in telling the story of Formula 1 and we are delighted it will make its South American debut in Buenos Aires. There has been a strong resurgence in support from the region and we cannot wait for fans to celebrate the pivotal role the region has played in defining our sport.”

Beginning with Once Upon A Time in Formula 1, which features a mix of previously unseen photography, historic cars, film and artefacts, visitors will then move onto the Design Lab. This takes visitors into the heart of an F1 factory for a glimpse of how teams design and manufacture each season’s challenger. Visitors will then experience Drivers & Duels celebrating the most iconic drivers and races over the last 75 years.

Fallen Heroes remembers and commemorates the many drivers that have died while racing, and Survival covers French-Swiss driver Romain Grosjean’s 150mph crash in Bahrain 2020 and escape from the ensuing fire.

Fans will finish at The Pit Wall, a cinematic and immersive experience that allowed fans to relive some of the greatest moments in Formula 1.

“We are delighted to announce Buenos Aires as the host city for the South American debut of The Formula 1 Exhibition. As Argentina’s vibrant capital, Buenos Aires boasts a rich Formula 1 heritage, including the storied Argentine Grand Prix and an impressive legacy of 26 Argentinian F1 drivers,” said Jonathan Linden, co-chief executive of Round Room Live and producer of The Formula 1 Exhibition.

“With its dynamic blend of sports, culture, and entertainment, Buenos Aires is the perfect choice to launch this exciting new chapter of the Formula 1 Exhibition in South America.”
