English football club Bolton Wanderers has extended its partnership with Ticketmaster Sport for a further five years.

Wanderers have also launched Virtual Venue, which is hoped to enhance the fan experience.

Virtual Venue is a 3D ticketing map of the team’s Toughsheet Community Stadium that will allow fans to compare seats before making their purchase.

The technology enables users to digitally visualise the 28,723-seat stadium on any device in the hopes of making buying tickets easier.

“We are continually looking at ways in which we can enhance the supporter experience when interacting with the Football Club and Virtual Venue is another step in the right experience,” said Bolton Wanderers’ head of ticketing Daniel Scott.

“Offering a view of every seat inside the Toughsheet Community Stadium at the point of purchase allows for a more personalised experience for Wanderers supporters – giving supporters the chance to pick their perfect spot with confidence and knowledge.

“The ticketing department at Bolton Wanderers is fully committed to making the online ticket purchase experience as user friendly as possible and we’re looking forward to working with Ticketmaster Sport to achieve our shared commitment to future technology innovation and a best-in-class experience that will benefit the Club and our supporters.”

Ticketmaster Sport, Bolton’s official ticketing technology partner, will ensure that the Virtual Venue will be available to fans of the League One club for 2025-26 season ticket sales which are due to begin in the coming weeks.

“Extending with Bolton Wanderers for the long haul shows how committed we both are to innovation and the fans,” Ticketmaster Sport managing director Chris Gratton.

“As our partnership grows, Bolton supporters can enjoy the benefits of our market-leading digital ticketing solutions.”
