Iconic rockers The Rolling Stones will not be heading on tour this summer despite rumours, according to reports.
The band were allegedly set to tour across cities such as London, Barcelona, Paris and Copenhagen.
However, it has been reported that band members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and drummer Steve Jordan (who replaced Charlie Watts after he died in 2021), along with their promoters, couldn’t make the dates work for 2025 shows in the UK and Europe.
It is said there are ongoing discussions around potential 2026 dates instead.
Sources told The Sun newspaper: “Promoters had been locked in discussions with The Stones about coming to the UK and Europe. There had been hope the gigs would take place this summer but it’s not worked out.
“And now it’s been shelved. But Mick, Keith and Ronnie love to perform live shows so there’s hope that the promoters can lock in dates for next year.”
The band last toured following the release of their 24th album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ in 2023, but this only consisted of US dates.
The last time The Stones played in the UK was in 2022 at BST Hyde Park Festival, and before that they toured in 2018 with stops at London Stadium, Old Trafford in Manchester, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, Principality Stadium in Cardiff, London’s Twickenham Stadium, Ricoh Arena in Coventry and St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton.
