The 32-year-old was arrested after the alleged victim called police while trying to stop the suspect from escaping.
A video shows two women in a physical dispute about the counterfeit ticket outside Tai Wai MTR station before police say they received a report at around 6pm.
The victim claims that her husband had bought the ticket for the inflated price from a seller on online marketplace Carousell so that he could attend the final date of Lau’s tour on January 10.
“The victim decided to confront the seller the next day by pretending to buy something else from her and requesting to meet,” a police spokesman said, as reported by the South China Morning Post.
Last week, Hong Kong Police arrested five men for allegedly selling fake tickets to the Lau concerts in Hong Kong which began on December 17.
Suspects aged between 18 and 45 were apprehended by authorities between December 27 and January 3, while more arrests may still take place.
Tickets for the concerts at Hong Kong Coliseum between December 17 and January 10 were priced between HK$680 (£70/$87.50/€85) and HK$1,280 on the official sales channel.
However, the fake tickets were sold at a mark-up of HK$2,000 to HK$5,000 and the five suspects were arrested for “allegedly dishonestly obtaining property belonging to another by deception”.
