The first wave of ticket sales for the live shows of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest sold out within seven minutes, while tickets for the preview shows were sold out within 20 minutes.
A total of 42,645 tickets were bought for the event set to take place in Basel’s 12,400-capacity St Jakobshalle arena.
The semi-finals are scheduled for May 13 and 15 before the final on May 17.
Tickets for the various shows range from CHF40 (£35/$43/€42) to CHF350.
“We were overwhelmed by the huge demand and the smooth technical process of the booking,” said co-executive producers of Eurovision 2025 Reto Peritz and Moritz Stadler.
“Many thanks to our partner TicketCorner for their excellent cooperation.
“It is moving to see how much the Eurovision Song Contest inspires people in our country and all over the world.
“We can feel how people are looking forward to this year’s event in Basel – and it shows how the ESC builds bridges between cultures and connects hearts.”
Ticket sales for Arena Plus, the largest public viewing event in the Swiss city’s St. Jakob-Park stadium are also now underway.
Around 36,000 fans will be able to watch the final on the stadium’s big screens as well as pre-show performances from Anna Rossinelli, DJ Antoine, and Baby Lasagne.
