Wasserman Music has hired five key executives in a bid to expand its client service offerings worldwide.
Vince Amoroso joins as senior vice-president of artist services while Sharmaine Akhigbe has been appointed as vice-president of brand partnerships, and Karina Gonzalez has been made vice-president of festivals.
Furthermore, Georgia McGurk joins as vice-president of event strategy and hospitality and Yasi Agahnia joins as director of corporate and special events.
AEG Presents makes series of promotions
AEG Presents has promoted four of its global touring staff to leadership roles.
Jonathan Baden will now serve as senior vice-president of production and direct support but will continue to oversee AEG’s touring and festival production teams. Jenny Heifetz has been elevated from vice-president to senior vice-president of global touring and will take on a larger role in overseeing the division’s operations.
Previous directors of touring Lindsay Dworman and Elizabeth Pickrel will now serve as vice-presidents of global touring. Dworman will continue to focus on booking and overseeing tours, while Pickrel will expand upon her work in international touring.
New interim chair for English National Opera
Louise Jeffreys has been appointed as interim chair of English National Opera (ENO) and the London Coliseum following the retirement of Dr Harry Brunjes.
Jeffreys previously served as deputy chair of ENO and chair of the artistic committee.
Tony Lankester has been appointed as chief executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society.
He joins from Riverside Studios where he was chief executive for five years.
“Edinburgh Festival Fringe occupies a rare and special place in the hearts and minds of artists the world over and it has played a formative role in so many stellar careers and millions of life-changing moments for audiences,” Lankester said.
“Staying true to that legacy, while being asked to help shape and guide its future, is a privilege.”
ASM Global has announced Joseph Santiago as general manager of Stranahan Theater and Great Hall in Toledo, Ohio.
Santiago brings 20 years of industry experience and was most recently general manager of Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Sam Buckley has started a new position as executive general manager of marketing and membership at Melbourne Royal after three years as manager of Marvel Stadium precinct commercial with AFL.
“I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to join such an amazing organisation with history dating back to 1848 and can’t wait to get to work on helping deliver the Melbourne Show amongst other events and activity that take place year-round,” Buckley said.
Terrill heads to Expian
Expian has appointed Christian Terrill as strategic project manager as it looks to expand its ticketing technology platform.
Terrill brings experience from Royal Ballet, Opera, and LW Theatres, where he worked on customer engagement and implemented tech-driven solutions.
At Expian, he will oversee ticketing technology delivery while supporting AI-driven innovations aimed at boosting sales and customer experience.
Santiago Santamaría Soler has started in a new position as vice-president of global communications, public and institutional relations at Fever.
