Rugby fans who buy tickets to Italy’s home games in this year’s Men’s Six Nations will be given free access to an array of museums in Rome as part of the new “IV Tempo, Rugby, and Culture” initiative.

The initiative comes courtesy of a partnership between the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR) and the country’s Ministry of Culture.

A total of 25 museums are included in the scheme, allowing free entry on match weekends where Italy is playing at the Stadio Olimpico.

The first of these begins tomorrow (Saturday) when the Azzurri host Wales in the capital city, before France visit on February 23.

Italy’s final home game of the tournament is then set to take place on March 15 against defending champions Ireland.

A selection of both state and civic museums are involved, including the Museum of Rome in Trastevere, the Museum of the Ara Pacis, and the Corsini Gallery.

“From the Capitoline Museums to the Baths of Caracalla, there are in fact twenty-five museums, both civic and state, that can be visited for free by showing, every match weekend, the ticket for the Six Nations 2025 matches that will be played at the Olimpico in the 2025 Tournament,” read an FIR statement.

“A rich and varied offer that aims to combine the values of rugby with the importance of culture, allowing free visits to places that preserve art and civilisation, helping to make the Six Nations experience in Italy even more unique.”
