FIFA has reportedly slashed tickets for this summer’s new-look Club World Cup in the US.

The Daily Mail has reported that the cheapest cost of seats for matches in the last-16 stage and beyond have dropped by as much as $385 (£310/€372), after a new ‘value tier’ was introduced.

Originally, the lowest-priced tickets available for the semi-final for fans of the participating club had been priced at $526. These tickets are now available for just $140, according to Mail Sport.

In December, it was revealed that FIFA would utilise dynamic pricing for ticket sales ahead of the pre-sale and general sale for the 48-match group stage. Tickets for the play-offs and final then went on sale last month.

The cheapest tickets for the final were originally priced at $892 according to the report, and are now available for a much lower $300.

A total of 32 teams will compete in the 2025 Club World Cup, selected from six different federations: Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Confederation of African Football (CAF), Concacaf (North, Central and Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and UEFA (Europe).

UEFA has the most representatives and European giants include English Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as Germany’s Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, Spain’s Real Madrid Atlético Madrid, Portugal’s Porto and Benfica, France’s Paris Saint Germain, Italy’s Inter Milan and Juventus and Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg.

A total of 12 stadiums in the US will host matches, including Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, GEODIS Park in Nashville, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Lumen Field in Seattle and more.

The tournament will kick off on June 14 with a clash between Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Inter Miami CF and the Egyptian Premier League’s Al Ahly FC. The final is scheduled for July 13, with New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium providing the backdrop.
