Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL) has welcomed one million fans for the second consecutive season, boasting 48 sellouts across the 2024-25 campaign.

With the Finals tipping off today (Tuesday), the one million attendance figure is expected to increase.

Elsewhere, the Tasmania JackJumpers and the Adelaide 36ers have filled every home game – an increase on the 33 sellouts during the previous regular season. Additionally, the JackJumpers have sold out every home game in the club’s history, though the side only joined the NBL ahead of the 2021-22 season.

“The NBL is the hottest ticket in town and it’s a significant achievement to welcome one million fans through the gates for a second straight season,” said NBL chief executive, David Stevenson.

“This milestone is a testament to the unwavering passion of our incredible fans. The unprecedented rate at which the NBL continues to grow is clear and the appetite for our league is growing every year.

“Attending a game provides world-class, family-friendly entertainment and I want to give a huge thank you to the clubs and venues who help pull together every game day experience.

“We look forward to welcoming more fans through the gates and can’t wait to begin our biggest and best Finals Series yet.”
