K-pop group NJZ
Ticket vendor Cityline has defended its systems after complaints that users were assigned tickets for the wrong day at the forthcoming ComplexCon Hong Kong festival.
A number of fans of K-pop group NJZ have filed complaints with the Hong Kong Consumer Council after a mix-up during the ComplexCon pre-sale. Some fans said that they secured tickets for the headline act’s show at the AsiaWorld-Expo on March 23, however they were then sent tickets for the March 21 date.
ComplexCon said in a statement that it promptly sought dialogue with Cityline for further action over “suspected anomalies” during the ticketing process. It said it would make new ticketing arrangements for the general sale, which went live on Wednesday.
However, Cityline said in a statement that it had reviewed the transaction records and confirmed no irregularity found. It said it will investigate any complaints based on the provided information and collaborate with the organiser for timely responses.
ComplexCon HK’s second year
ComplexCon is a global festival that fuses music, fashion, art and streetwear culture. Originating in Los Angeles in 2016, it was staged in Hong Kong for the first time in 2024. It is the largest event of its kind in Asia, attracting over 30,000 visitors from around the world in its inaugural year.
ComplexCon Hong Kong will mark the first time NJZ – formerly NewJeans – will perform under their new moniker. NJZ has enjoyed a number of international hits since being formed by Hybe independent sub-label ADOR in 2022.
“We are thrilled to be stepping onto the stage for the first time as NJZ and share something new with everyone,” NJZ’s Minji said in a statement. “It’s a big moment for us and we can’t wait for fans to be a part of this journey with us and show the world our new music that we have been eagerly waiting to share.”
Other ComplexCon headliners include Quavo, Metro Boomin, and South Korean rapper Zico.
