Richard Grenell has been named interim executive director of the Kennedy Center by US President Donald Trump.
Grenell will take over from Deborah Rutter who resigned last month after serving as president of the cultural centre, which is situated in Washington, D.C.
“I am pleased to announce that Ric Grenell will serve as the Interim Executive Director of The Kennedy Center,” Trump wrote on social media.
“Ric shares my Vision for a GOLDEN AGE of American Arts and Culture, and will be overseeing the daily operations of the Center.”
Forro brings ticketing expertise to Seattle soccer
Nick Forro has been hired as senior vice-president of ticket sales and hospitality at Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC.
Forro has nearly two decades of industry experience having spent time leading revenue teams in the NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB.
“Nick is a dynamic leader whose innovative approach to sales and service aligns with our bold vision,” said the clubs’ chief revenue officer Courtney Carter.
“His unique experience across the sports industry, combined with his passion for fan engagement, will elevate our sales culture and strengthen Seattle’s position as a premier soccer destination.”
Blake Tatroe has joined Proactiv Entertainment as head of Asia. Prior to the new role, Tatroe served as an international director at Michael Cassel Group for three years in Singapore.
“This new role offers a rare opportunity to step away from the confines of what I’ve known and build something new and meaningful,” he wrote on social media.
“It’s a chance to explore ideas that elevate the industry and create impactful events that provide happiness and joy to consumers across the region.”
Phil Sheeran has joined Bundl as a commercial director after spending 26 years with Live Nation.
“Bundl’s ticket + hotel solution helps promoters earn more from their tickets AND gives fans a better, value for money experience,” Sheeran said.
“From the moment I first came across Bundl and spoke with [Bundl founder Mike Bayon] about the vision, I saw the huge potential and couldn’t wait to get involved.”
National Theatre of Scotland secures new executive director
Liam Sinclair has been appointed as the new executive director and co-chief executive of the National Theatre of Scotland.
Sinclair has been executive director and joint chief executive of Dundee Rep Theatre and Scottish Dance Theatre since 2019.
“It is with very great pleasure that we welcome Liam Sinclair as the National Theatre of Scotland’s new Executive Director and Co-CEO, following a rigorous and competitive recruitment process,” said chair of the board of National Theatre of Scotland Jane Spiers.
“Liam’s vast experience, leadership prowess and first-hand knowledge of the Scottish theatre sector will prove invaluable, ensuring the organisation thrives in the next phase of its evolution.”
