Cricket legends

The International Masters League (IML), a T20 cricket tournament featuring some of the sport’s legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, has enlisted BookMyShow as its ticketing partner for the inaugural season. The competition kicks off on February 22 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai and concludes with the final on March 16.

Backstreet’s Back

The Backstreet Boys are set to become the first pop act to play at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The group has revealed dates for a residency at the state-of-the-art venue, which will be titled ‘Into the Millennium’. Produced by Live Nation, the residency will feature nine shows between July 11-27. Since opening in 2023, residencies have included U2, Dead & Company, Phish, the Eagles and electronic dance music act Anyma.

Authentication

A company specialising in digital authentication and access control is set to enter the Italian market. Spanish-Canadian business Oaro provides biometrics for user verification through a ‘selfie’ which can be used for sports events and more. Oaro already operates within European countries such as Spain, the Netherlands, Turkey and Greece. According to a report from online newspaper Calcio e Finanza, Oaro is working with a range of Serie A football clubs.
