Canadian rapper Drake has been revealed as the headliner for all three nights of this year’s Wireless festival, which is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
With London’s Finsbury Park providing the backdrop, Drake will perform a bespoke set each night of the festival.
The annual rap and hip-hop event will return between July 11-13.
It will be Drake’s first UK performance in six years, with the rapper having last headlined the music festival back in 2012.
The news of Drake’s headline shows follow Kendrick Lamar’s recent half-time performance at the Super Bowl LIX in the US. The two famously have ‘beef’, though this has heated up over the last year with the release of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ track.
Kendrick Lamar, alongside SZA, is also set to perform in the UK this summer.
Additional acts announced for Wireless include Nigerian artist Burna Boy, Canada’s Partynextdoor, US R&B artist Summer Walker and Jamaican DJ Vybz Kartel. The full line-up will be announced in due course.
The Wireless Festival presale will begin from 12:00 local time tomorrow (Tuesday), while general tickets will go on sale the following day.
Last year, the festival featured artists such as Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, J Hus and Doja Cat.
In 2023, promoter Festival Republic signed a deal with Haringey Council to ensure Finsbury Park remained the home of Wireless until 2027.
