Gateway Ticketing Systems has been selected by the UK’s Chester Zoo to enhance guest experience and streamline operations.
Gateway provides ticketing, admission control and revenue-generating solutions for the attractions industry, and has installed its Galaxy Guest Management and Ticketing System at the zoo.
“We are truly honoured to have been selected to provide the ticketing system for Chester Zoo – an international wildlife charity and one of the UK’s largest and most historic zoos,” said Michael Andre, president and chief executive of Gateway Ticketing Systems.
“This partnership is significant to us, as our company and Chester Zoo share a deep commitment to customer-centric values. We look forward to a successful partnership and the opportunity to support Chester Zoo’s mission to prevent extinction and connect people with the natural world.”
This new system will help to streamline ticketing transactions and Gateway’s Membership & Pass for Galaxy will provide Chester Zoo’s members with more flexible and personalised membership options, as well as enhancements to its online portal.
Features also include self-service profile updates, exclusive event bookings, and automatic membership renewals. Improved CRM integration will strengthen guest engagement and enhance marketing efforts, while the eGalaxy Web Store and eGalaxy Group Sales solutions will further improve the online purchasing experience.
“After a rigorous selection process, we chose Gateway Ticketing Systems because they demonstrated a real commitment to the guest experience and demonstrated the flexibility we require with a wide array of configuration options, which will allow us to continue to innovate within our space,” added Dominic Strange, commercial director at Chester Zoo.
“This partnership will allow us to maximise future revenues for our charity, provide digital experiences, and give us the freedom to evolve our products and services. We are proud to be working together on enhancing the guest experience that will allow us to continue to increase our conservation impact and help the world’s wildlife and habitats to survive and thrive.”
Chester Zoo is managed by charity The North of England Zoological Society, and was opened in 1931. It attracts more than two million visitors every year.
