According to reports, organiser Live Nation announced the cancellation on Chinese social media platform Weibo, citing “unforeseen circumstances”.
Creamfields Hong Kong also announced the decision on its official Instagram stories.
The festival was due to take place from March 8-9, and according to the event’s Instagram, two-day early bird tickets had sold out by mid-January. Additionally, 80% of one-day tickets had been sold.
The line-up featured artists such as Zedd, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, R3hab, Armnhmr and more.
Ticket-holders will be fully refunded within the next week or so.
