The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) is aiming to reduce the number of tickets that are resold for its national teams’ matches.
The organisation states that it will be able to detect tickets that have been illegally resold and will cancel them.
Individuals with these tickets will then not be able to enter the match venue and will not receive a refund.
The HNS also claims that it will inform the police about every incident that it discovers.
“The security service will consistently and strictly control and compare personal information with the information on the ticket at matches, and only people with matched information will be allowed to enter the stadium,” read an HNS statement.
“Therefore, we once again appeal to all fans not to buy tickets on the ‘black market’ with someone else’s information on the ticket.
“In order to further prevent ticket misuse, the HNS has introduced a new application starting from this match that will replace print-at-home tickets, which will further complicate the work of resellers, who will not have printed tickets for the match.
“Tickets will only appear in the application a few days before the match and will not be able to be forwarded to another person.”
