Wembley Stadium has partnered with chef Tom Shepherd, founder of Michelin-starred restaurant Upstairs, to offer a special hospitality experience for members.
The collaboration will see Shepherd create a bespoke menu for the Carabao Cup final this Sunday (March 16), the FA Cup semi-finals on the weekend beginning April 26, and the FA Cup final on May 17.
“We are thrilled to partner with Tom Shepherd for some of our biggest events at the stadium,” said head of experiences at Wembley Stadium, Paul Scannell.
“This new menu perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Wembley, elevating and complementing exceptional culinary experiences throughout the stadium.
“This is the first of many ways in which we are further elevating the experience for our members.
“The Carabao Cup is a sell-out and we’re delighted to be bringing Dining Experience by Tom Shepherd to our members.”
The menu will be served to 80 diners in Wembley’s Laurent-Perrier champagne lounges and is intended to showcase traditional British dishes and flavours.
These include Herefordshire beef tartare, Atlantic cod, and Shepherd’s signature dessert, “No Ordinary Schoolboy”, which is white chocolate banana filled with banana mousse and popping candy, a side of banana cake, caramel, banana ice cream and granola.
“I’m a huge football fan, so I am over the moon to create Dining Experience by Tom Shepherd for such huge football fixtures,” said Shepherd.
“The menu reflects our rich British heritage and the excitement of matchday tournaments – myself and my team intend to deliver a brilliantly memorable experience that will no doubt be matched by the finalists on the pitch too!”
