The London Theatre Week is set to come to an end on Sunday (March 16) after being extended for a final time.

The initiative began on February 17 this year and offers discounted tickets to West End shows.

More than 50 musicals and plays are included in the promotion with tickets available for £15 ($19/€17), £25, and £35.

“There’s no better time to head to the West End, whether it’s your first ever show or your 100th, we are confident that connoisseurs and newcomers alike will be able to find something they’ll love at a price that suits them,” said TodayTix chief executive Brian Fenty.

“With over 70 shows to choose from, this is our favourite time of year to celebrate the strength and excellence of London’s world-class theatre.”

The Book of Mormon, Wicked, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are all involved but it is The Lion King that has proved to be the most popular so far.

Shows joining the promotion for the first time include award-winning music Hamilton and new productions Titanique and The Great Gatsby.

London Theatre Week is in its eighth year and offers savings of up to £50 per ticket.

West End theatre’s popularity continues to rise, with audiences now said to be exceeding pre-pandemic levels.

The Society of London Theatre’s survey of attendance for the first three-quarters of 2024 saw more than 13.2 million people attend shows.
