The partnership builds on the two businesses’ work in developing K-pop act ATEEZ’s profile in the lucrative North American and European markets.
Under the alliance, AEG Presents will oversee the production of all ATEEZ tours worldwide, solidifying its relationship with the group and expanding promotional opportunities.
Founded by KQ and assisted by AEG Presents, ATEEZ became the first K-pop boy group to perform at Coachella. The Billboard chart-topping act also sold-out New York’s Citi Field, Globe Life Field in Arlington and BMO Stadium in Los Angeles during a North American tour that drew over 200,000 attendees.
WONDERLAND singers ATEEZ became the first K-pop artist to headline a concert at the 40,000-capacity La Défense Arena in Paris during their recently concluded European tour. The group sold over 180,000 tickets to sold-out crowds across Europe.
In a joint statement, the partners said: “KQ Entertainment has distinguished itself through its innovative leadership and creativity, showcasing an exceptional ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and nurture a culture of collaboration, which drives ongoing growth and success in a competitive landscape.”
As well as operating Coachella, AEG Presents has a presence across five continents. Its portfolio includes British Summer Time at Hyde Park and Rock En Seine, as well as promoting tours for acts such as Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran.
