The 14-time Grammy Award-winner is due to play at Singapore’s National Stadium on May 18, 19, 21, and 24 in what will be her first shows in the country for 13 years where around 200,000 fans are expected in total.
Presale began yesterday with queue numbers going “well above 1.6 million”, as reported by Bangkok Post.
More presale sessions are due before tickets are offered to the general public on Friday (March 21).
According to the official ticketing platform, Ticketmaster, prices range from $148 (£114/€135) to £283 while VIP packages are between £499 and £1,038.
Resellers tickets at almost $39,000
Due to the huge amount of traffic, which was amassed within 10 minutes of the presale opening, fans turned to resale sites such as Carousell, Viagogo, and StubHub.
Some found VIP passes listed for up to £38,820 and regular tickets selling for more than £2,300 on StubHub, according to The Straits Times.
The tour is in support of her seventh album, “Mayhem”, which will also see her make long-awaited returns to the likes of Mexico and Brazil.
Singaporean website Carousell has stated that it has introduced enhanced security measures for Lady Gaga tickets.
“Carousell’s goal is to be able to provide a safe marketplace for event tickets, even for the largest and most fraud-prone events,” a Carousell spokesperson.
“We hope that the heightened measures we have put in place since last year’s Taylor Swift concert will be sufficient to keep fraud to manageable levels.
“However, as scammers are creative and constantly evolve their fraud tactics, we will continue to keep a very close eye on how the scam situation develops.”
