The new PEC division has announced its first events, with a heavy metal awards gala and a three-day programme showcasing disabled athletes and entertainers. PEC is the operator of Paris’ Accor Arena, The Bataclan and adidas Arena.
The business said: “As part of its new strategy, Paris Entertainment Company is launching its event production business within its venues, thus affirming its desire to control the value chain and boost the attractiveness of its emblematic locations.
The new division debuts at the historic Bataclan music venue with Les Foudres, which will celebrate the best of French heavy metal talents. Taking place on October 9, the gala will be a mix of award ceremonies and live performances.
“This first edition of Les Foudres, hosted by the Bataclan, will mark a turning point in the French cultural landscape: a memorable evening at the crossroads of art, music and the ‘Free Spirit since 1865’ dear to the Parisian venue,” PEC said.
H Days builds on Paris 2024 Paralympics
Also in October, PEC’s events division will deliver the first edition of H Days, which aims to build on the legacy of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Held over three days, H Days will combine sport, culture, and engagement to entertain and mobilise the public around disability.
The highlight of the festival will be a show at the 20,000-capacity Accor Arena on October 18, bringing together athletes, comedians, musicians and dancers. The H Days programme also features conferences and workshops, a mass participation running event and an entertainment village in the Parc de Bercy.
PEC said: “Through H Days, Paris Entertainment Company aims to create an annual, popular, and festive event that brings audiences together around the values of solidarity, sharing, and upliftment. This event also aims to become a model that can be exported to other major cities.”
The company said: “With H Days and Les Foudres, Paris Entertainment Company marks a turning point. It is affirming its commitment to mastering the value chain and boosting the appeal of its iconic venues. These two new unmissable events were conceived, designed, and produced by our teams.”
