In its annual report on the live music sector in Spain, the APM, whose ticketing partners are Entradas El Corte Inglés, Eventim, GigBro and Ticketmaster, said the industry pulled in €725,609,673 (£611m/$790.4m) in 2024, up 25.32% from the previous year’s figure of €578,995,737.
The Comunidad de Madrid accounted for €185,370,550 of the total figure, a 96% rise year-on-year, with Catalonia coming in second (€138,577,703), albeit with a 9.16% downturn. Andalusia was the third biggest gig market in Spain with ticket revenues of €116,157,215, up 21.34%.
In terms of cities, Madrid (€185,370,550) came out on top followed by Barcelona (€113,488,811) and Seville (€35,399,042).
Spanish singer-songwriter Melendi proved to be the biggest attraction on the domestic gig scene last year. His 41-concert tour was attended by 501,197 fans in total.
