The 13-time Swiss champions said they continued with the operator so that fans can benefit from its modern and flexible solutions.
“Ticketing is constantly evolving and must continually adapt to new needs and requirements,” said FC Zürich managing director, Andreas Schmocker.
“After careful evaluation, we are convinced that Ticketcorner remains our ideal partner to further optimise ticketing.
“The online shop, in particular, will benefit from improved performance, and the booking process via smartphone will be even more intuitive with the new system. Ticket sharing will also be easier.”
FC Zürich plays in the city’s Letzigrund stadium which boasts a capacity of 26,000 for football matches. The original stadium was built by members of the club in 1925 before a new stadium was built on the same site in 2007.
The club’s current average attendance for this season is 15,087, making it the fourth best supported club in the country behind BSC Young Boys, FC Basel, and FC 1879 St. Gallen.
“Our marketing and ticketing solutions create the perfect foundation for even more stadium visitors,” said Ticketcorner chief executive, Oliver Niedermann.
“This fan enthusiasm will further strengthen FC Zurich on its successful path.”
