The new Denver National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) franchise has raked in more than 10,000 season ticket deposits.
Breaking an NWSL record for season ticket deposits, Denver’s only women’s professional sports team achieved the feat in less than two months.
“This milestone showcases that our community is passionate about women’s professional soccer and what we are building in Denver and across the front range,” said majority owner Rob Cohen.
“There is still a great deal of work to be done. We are excited to continue collaborating with our community to create a club that is representative and inclusive of all of Colorado.”
Denver was awarded NWSL’s 16th team on January 30.
The team will begin playing in the 2026 season, and there are plans to build Colorado’s first purpose-built sports and entertainment district created for professional women’s sports. This will include a 14,500-seat stadium designed by Populous and recreational facilities.
A temporary 12,000-capacity stadium is planned for nearby Centennial for the club to play home games during the 2026 and 2027 seasons, along with a permanent performance centre that will serve as the club’s training base.
The temporary stadium is the result of a partnership with the City of Centennial and the Cherry Creek School District. Once the Denver NWSL franchise moves to its permanent home, the temporary stadium’s capacity will be reduced and utilised by the Cherry Creek School District.
Fans are still able to place a deposit for season tickets. Pricing and seat inventory are still being determined, and the timeline for converting deposits into actual seat purchases is yet to be finalised.
