More than 275,000 tickets have been sold for the Women’s Rugby World Cup later this year, but fans will have another opportunity to secure tickets in May.
A new round of ticket sales will begin on May 14, which marks 100 days to go until the tournament. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis.
For those unsuccessful in last year’s ticket application phase, there will be an exclusive sales window from May 7-9.
The Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 is due to take place in England between August 22 and September 27.
“Excitement is building across the country and beyond as we approach the 100 days to go milestone for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025,” said tournament managing director, Sarah Massey.
“With over 275,000 tickets already sold it’s clear fans are ready to make this the biggest tournament yet. We’re thrilled to offer fans another chance to be part of the celebrations when tickets go on sale in May. Whether you’re a lifelong rugby supporter or attending your first match, this tournament promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone.”
Early insights from a recent ticket-buyer survey suggest that 11% of fans are attending from outside the UK, while there has been strong domestic representation with 89% of purchases made by home nations.
Ticket purchases are also evenly split between those that identify as men and women, and the tournament is also attracting new fans – some 35% of ticket-holders will be attending a women’s professional rugby match for the first time.
An official resale platform is set to launch on June 24, enabling fans that can no longer attend to sell their tickets at face value to other supporters.
