The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is offering free entry to all matches at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium during the upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
The qualifying tournament is set to run from April 9-19 with eight matches scheduled to take place at Gaddafi Stadium.
Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and the West Indies are all set to compete in the round-robin tournament, with the top two teams securing a place in this year’s Women’s Cricket World Cup.
The first will see Pakistan take on Ireland at Gaddafi Stadium, before the hosts also play West Indies and Thailand at the 34,000-capacity venue.
The stadium, which is Pakistan’s largest for cricket, is also due to stage Ireland vs West Indies, then Ireland against Bangladesh, Bangladesh against Scotland, Ireland vs Scotland, and Thailand vs West Indies.
The Lahore City Cricket Association Ground is set to stage the remaining seven games.
The qualifier is the sixth edition of the tournament with fixtures to be played as 50-over matches.
The World Cup proper is due to run from September 29 to October 26 in India, with the host nation having already qualified along with Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.
