Concert promoter Showbox Presents has announced the inaugural summer concert series at Dune Peninsula, a breathtaking outdoor venue set alongside Point Defiance Park in the US city of Tacoma, Washington.
Featuring views of Mount Rainier and Puget Sound, the Dune Peninsula concert series will include performances from the likes of Sierra Ferrell with Kaitlin Butts, Dropkick Murphys and Bad Religion with The Mainliners, Maoli, CAAMP with Futurebirds, and Sam Barber.
The summer series will be operated in collaboration with Parks Tacoma, which works with Showbox Presents to manage the outdoor venue.
“We are thankful to Parks Tacoma for the privilege to bring our community together at this beautiful location. Surrounded by the Puget Sound in the shadow of Mt. Rainier this is where music and nature meet to create lifetime memories,” said Rob Thomas, vice president, AEG Presents Northwest.
Deputy director of parks and recreation, Joe Brady, said: “Parks Tacoma has heard from our community for years that large festivals, concerts and events are an important part of life in Tacoma. Our agency is excited to partner with AEG Presents/Showbox Presents to bring this series to Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park.
“This series adds to our summer calendar, which is already full of exciting opportunities for kids and families to experience.”
Michael Spadoni, marketing director of Showbox Presents, added: “We’re excited to add another entertainment option to Point Ruston, complementing the terrific dining and waterfront shopping options already available with an unparalleled concert experience.
“This solidifies the neighbourhood as a top-tier Tacoma nightlife destination, enhancing its reputation as the ideal spot for entertainment, dining and community gatherings.”
