London’s Wembley Stadium has renewed its deal with media and entertainment group Global to continue as the host of Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard.
The three-year extension will see the multi-act event at Wembley until 2027.
Wembley first hosted Capital’s Summertime Ball in 2010, with that year featuring headline performances from Rihanna, Usher, Justin Bieber, Dizzee Rascal and Cheryl Cole.
This year’s edition will be held on June 15 and also boasts a packed line-up of Mariah Carey, Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff, Benson Boone, Tate McRae, Myles Smith, Lola Young, KSI, JADE and more.
“We are delighted to sign an extension to our deal with Global which will see their immensely popular Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard show take place at Wembley for three more years,” commented Wembley’s stadium director Mark Lynch.
“The concert is always a highlight in our calendar and a great insight into who might be playing headline shows here at Wembley Stadium in the future.”
Previous Summertime Ball guests such as Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles all went on to headline their own shows at Wembley.
Capital’s Summertime Ball will open Wembley’s 2025 concert season, with Dua Lipa set to bring her Radical Optimism tour for two nights on June 20-21; rock icons Guns N’ Roses on June 26; Linkin Park on June 28 and Lana Del Rey for two nights on July 3-4.
The London venue is also set to host one of the most talked-about comebacks with Oasis to perform five nights between July 25 and August 3, and further two nights on September 27 and 28.
Blackpink are set to make history as the first-ever K-pop girl group to headline Wembley Stadium on August 15-16.
Coldplay will then perform a record-breaking 10 shows at Wembley Stadium between August 22 and September 8.
