JOB DESCRIPTION

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the Head of Ticketing with the day to day running of the Ticketing department.
  • Work with the Head of Ticketing to ensure the department needs are met and the supporter journey for purchasing tickets is a smooth one.
  • Working closely with the clubs Consumer Sales exec to promote all consumer sales packages online.
  • Work closely with the Head of Ticketing to increase revenue and attract new supporters to Birmingham City Football Club.
  • Overseeing the build and implementation of all fixtures on the Ticketmaster Sports XR system.
  • Work with the Head of Ticketing to improve the clubs Access Control System and ensure that the system is constantly reviewed and improved.
  • Ensure the Access Control System is setup for match days.
  • Provide Access Control reports to the Head of Ticketing and the Safety team.
  • Ensuring all games are on sale online on the dates set.
  • Manage all ticketing emails and ensure that they are replied to within the time frame required.
  • Manage all stadium tours and identify areas for improvements.
  • Assist the Head of Ticketing with the reconciliation of all games.
  • Liaise with opposition football club on ticketing allocations, collections and duplicates for all fixtures.
  • Build strong relationships with all supporter groups and assist them with their ticketing requirements.
  • Work closely with the clubs DLO and improve all services that are provided to disabled supporters.
  • Oversee the management of all complimentary tickets issued through the ticketing department.
  • Be the first point of contact for all women fixtures and identify new ways to increase sales.
  • Attend internal meetings with all departments to improve all services provided to supporters.

Essential Requirements

  • Educated to degree level or qualified by relevant experience. ​

Knowledge and Skills

Essential Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Management and mentoring of Ticketing Advisors.
  • Knowledge of ticket sales, ticketing systems such as Ticketmaster Sports XR, utilising data, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques is essential.
  • Ability to demonstrate good problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to deal with clients face-to-face in a sales capacity.
  • Must possess strength in time management, administrative ability, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to meet targets and set KPIs.
  • High energy; ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently.
  • A background or knowledge of target driven sales environments, managing and mentoring Sales personnel.
  • Takes full accountability for all their decisions and how they impact others.

  • Must possess a genuine desire to exceed both consumer expectations and sales.

Terms of Appointment 

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • 20 days annual leave (rising by 1 day per completed year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days, plus 8 statutory bank holidays).
  • 6-month probation period.

This role is regarded as a ‘Regulated Activity’ and is therefore subject to an Enhanced DBS check, (previously a CRB check) which includes the barred list for working with children. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
