Role description

The Business Development Manager plays a hybrid, pivotal role within Eventim UK. You will be part of the UK management team and work closely with all departments, and with Germany HQ, to shape, develop and implement the product strategy to align with current client needs as well as new clients across multiple verticals. The role will also play a vital part in working with key business stakeholders to identify and deliver new clients, to help grow the business with a specific initial focus on the Theatre business.

Key responsibilities 

  • Developing the B2B sales strategy for InHouse and Eventim Light across multiple verticals including Theatre, Sports, Opera, Attractions
  • Owning and hitting/exceeding annual InHouse and Light (and other product) sales targets
  • Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Oversee management of selected clients and strategic partners
  • Product Owner for the Eventim InHouse and Eventim Light ticketing solutions in the UK
  • Become the key product point of contact for Eventim UK ticketing solutions additional to InHouse – Net and Eventim Light
  • Develop business case and rationale for UK product developments in line with client needs and business growth
  • Work with key business stakeholders to identify and develop areas of innovation across the ticketing platforms and ancillary products
  • Effectively communicate Eventims value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Oversee preparation and presentation of marketing collateral in sales pitches and client presentations
  • Promoting a culture of growth through product and sales across the business
  • Educating team members on best business practices and techniques for increasing effectiveness
  • Finding new clients and promoting sales to them
  • Identifying key accounts
  • Fostering familiar relationships between clients and the business development team
  • Following up on client leads
  • Being knowledgeable about products and services offered by the business
  • Raising the company profile by attending conferences and seminars
  • Being aware of market trends and competitors
  • Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients to grow the business

  • Proven experience in a digital ecommerce environment
  • Thorough understanding of the full marketing mix
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
  • Highly numerate with outstanding analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience at communicating and influencing at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience within the ticketing industry
