The Ticket Factory and Birmingham’s premier live entertainment venues, Utilita Arena Birmingham and Resorts World Arena are on the lookout for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager with a passion for live events to join the Ticketing and Arenas Marketing team to lead the digital marketing strategy.

Acting as the team’s digital expert, we are looking for an exceptional person to drive best in class digital marketing, focussing on driving ticket sales and revenue and providing an outstanding customer journey for our fans through online channels.

As our digital expert, you will utilise your specialist knowledge to support our event ‘on sales’ and event marketing, provide expertise to clients on their data and digital initiatives and stay abreast of the latest digital trends and technologies to advise the business on best practice.

You will be responsible for the PPC and affiliates programmes ensuring continuous improvements and identifying new opportunities to sell tickets, as well as working with our Digital and Development teams to devise and implement our SEO strategy.

You will also have ownership of our brand websites, TheTicketFactory.com, Utilita Arena, Resorts World Arena, Amplify and Fan Club, to identify and manage improvements.

Our successful candidate will also identify opportunities to improve the performance of emails and CRM journeys to drive revenue, engagement and a seamless customer journey as well as playing a proactive role in the creation and implementation of the digital content strategy.

Acting as our data champion, you will lead on campaigns to capture data and grow the NEC Group database, both online and in venue and work alongside the Business Intelligence team to develop methods for enriching customer data and increasing the engagement rate of the NEC Group database. You will also work with the Ecommerce and Product Manager, Business Intelligence team and Digital team to maximise personalisation and ensure effective customer tracking and profiling across all digital channels.

We are looking for someone exceptional; a self starter who is organised, flexible, responsive, resilient and determined. You must have a thorough grounding in the creation and execution of digital marketing strategies and tactical plans, and have the ability to establish productive working relationships at all levels with colleagues, promoters and suppliers; and be able to work under pressure to meet regular deadlines.

You will need to be an open minded and a highly creative thinker, who strives on seeking out the next big opportunity and you must have a proven track record of delivering results consistently, to budget and deadlines.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience of marketing in a fast moving, creative environment
  • Previous experience on working within the B2C and or Events Marketing sector
  • Understanding of ticketing technologies and the challenges of processing transactions at speed and scale
  • Knowledge of web development best practice would be beneficial
  • Thorough understanding of GDPR
  • Significant experience managing PPC and affiliate campaigns
  • Understanding of SEO best practice would be beneficial
  • Experience with paid social media advertising
  • Knowledge of programmatic and display advertising
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work with structure
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to write comprehensive and detailed technical briefs for IT and digital functions
  • Experience of managing external suppliers
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Ability to coordinate activities in a timely manner and to time pressured deadlines
  • Self starter; flexible, responsive, determined, and a completer and finisher
