The Opportunity
At Tixr, we’re on the lookout for dynamic individuals to join our partnership (sales) team. In this role, you’ll be a key player in shaping our growth strategies, without being confined by industry verticals or geographical boundaries. Your responsibilities will include becoming an expert in the Tixr product, setting ambitious sales targets, and harnessing your existing relationships in Western Canada to acquire new, at-scale clients.
As a member of our team, you’ll be at the forefront of driving our growth strategies, mastering our cutting-edge product, and setting high-reaching sales goals. Moreover, you’ll have the chance to leverage your existing relationships to attract new clients and collaborate closely with our talented sales team members. With the opportunity to create your own Sales Ambassador program and immerse yourself in strategic networking, this role serves as your gateway to making a significant impact in the thrilling world of sports and entertainment. This role is remote-based and seeking a candidate currently located in Western Canada.

Work closely with the VP of Partnerships (sales), the CRO, and CEO on growth strategies and vertical-focused opportunities, but with no restrictions by vertical or geography

Quickly learn the Tixr product, effectively communicate the value proposition and be able to react to objections and competitive questions

Work with Tixr’s Sales Ops to build a vertical-focused sales growth strategy and targets

Sell your existing relationships to become new Tixr clients

Work with Canadian sales against a new business sales attack plan for prospecting

Work closely with the Tixr executive team and current VP Partnerships on annual and quarterly sales strategy targeting: music and sports venues, festivals, concert promoters, attractions, and more.

Track all sales activity daily in the Tixr CRM (Hubspot)

Attract, support, and manage your own sales Ambassador program for additional selling (once approved by the vertical leader)

Align with key professional sports industry organizations, to help network and build the Tixr brand globally

Through training and continued practice, gain a complete understanding of the company’s industry-leading tech platform/product

Travel as needed and as deemed essential to sell and key client relationship-building

Align with key industry organizations and attend events to expand and build your network

Team up with other co-sellers as it strategically benefits the deal-closing process

We are looking for someone who has:

(Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field

Candidates should have 5+ years of primary ticketing or similar experience and a successful track record in sales roles from previous positions, hitting or exceeding targets

Candidates should be living in or willing to relocate to Alberta or British Columbia.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity or direct involvement within the industry and live event commerce, ticketing operations, software sales or similar.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and consultative negotiation skills are essential.

Relationship Building: Building and maintaining client relationships is crucial. A previous book of business or established relationships is preferred.

Presentation Skills: Effective presentation abilities for pitches and proposals.

Organization Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills, adept at efficiently managing tasks, prioritizing workloads, and leading projects to successful completion.

Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges and objections constructively and resolve quickly.

Analytical Skills: Analyzing market trends and data to inform sales strategies.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in both front-end and back-end sales software and CRM systems is required.

Salary Range $90,000 – $140,000 CAD (DOE) + Bonus + Commission
