The Head of Ticketing is pivotal to the smooth running of the Club’s matchday and non-matchday ticketing operations, maintaining exceptional customer service to the Club’s supports by managing and developing existing staff, increasing ticket sales and maximising revenue.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maximise ticketing revenues for season card, match tickets, and membership sales for Nottingham Forest Football Club
  • Deliver a fully integrated ticketing strategy competitions in which Nottingham Forest Football Club participate, working closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Stadium Operations functions in particular, in order to drive matchday attendance, revenue and profits across the course of the season
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for ticket sales
  • Recruit/manage an in-house sales team with a strong focus on customer service delivery, upselling and cross-selling for other Nottingham Forest products/events
  • Working closely with the Marketing function, design and implement a communications strategy designed to increase sales, engagement, and customer retention
  • Lead the management of Nottingham Forest Football Club’s ticketing system and ticket office, with a focus on excellent standards of customer service and experience whether on or off-line at every touchpoint
  • Ensure that all ticketing activity, from design to customer service and matchday delivery, is conducted in line with Nottingham Forest Football Club’s brand strategy, where the supporter remains the heart of each-and-every activity
  • Liaise regularly core club stakeholders, in the deliver of timely management information, and reporting functions
  • Work closely with departments across the club to ensure the success of ticketing as a key revenue line:
  • Finance Department to manage budgets and costs effectively
  • Communications functions to ensure that all ticketing information is communicated clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Marketing team to deliver the design, sales and fulfilment of tickets and other products for for all Nottingham Forest Football Club activities, where supporters are in attendance
  • Nottingham Forest Football Club’s operations, safety, and security teams, ensuring that Ticketing contributes to a safe and enjoyable event experience
  • Provide regular reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer and Finance Director

Knowledge and Core Experience:

  • 7-10 years prior sales experience working in sports or event ticketing
  • Strong experience of setting and working to deadlines, sales targets, and KPIs
  • A good understanding of sales and marketing strategy and implementation
  • Experienced in managing external agencies and technology providers aligned to Ticketing and Access Control operations; use of Ticketmaster Sport XR and TeamCard Access Control systems considered an advantage
  • Strong background in customer acquisition, re-engagement, and retention strategies
  • Confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaboration across an organisation
  • Proven experience of managing people
  • Good IT skills, including experience of working with ticketing platforms, reporting systems
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication strategy planning experience
  • Sales Forecasting and Budget Management experience

  • Flexibility to work from championship locations, throughout the UK and overseas, when required
