What will this role of Operations Manager entail?

Reporting to the Head of Operations, as the Operations Manager you’ll take a hands-on approach to operationally managing all elements of our Attractions, Guest Services, Admissions, VIP, Attractions and Railway sections, with the ultimate goal of gaining a reputation for world class guest service across Longleat. You’ll be leading 5 direct reports managing a team of up to 100 during peak times.

Using your passion for guest satisfaction and staff development, you’ll pour your energy into providing the best possible guest experience through regular interaction with guests, as well as mentoring and developing your team members to achieve their full potential and ensure they deliver a first-class service. Your also duties will include but not be limited to:

• Line managing Guest Services, Admissions, VIP, Attractions and Railway teams, including recruitment, performance reviews, coaching and disciplining as required
• Evaluating the guest experience across all areas of Longleat, producing reports based on guest feedback, identifying trends and working with operational management to effect improvement
• Managing payroll and operational costs in line with budget

What will I need to be considered for this Operations Manager vacancy?

• Proven managerial experience gained within a fast-paced attractions / leisure environment
• Great people management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational and decision-making skills
• Experience of collecting, analysing and reporting on data
• IT literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks and to work extra hours where needed to meet deadlines

What will I receive in return?

As the Operations Manager, you’ll receive a salary of £28,000 to £35,000, level dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent, working 40 hours per work 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays. Start and finish times will vary in accordance with Park opening times.
