We are : One Inch Badge, an innovative and progressive event promotions and production company based in Brighton. With over 12 years experience we are the most prominent independent promoters of contemporary music in the South East. We deliver over 500 events a year across a diverse range of mediums and genres. Our music programme includes events for such artists as Bonobo, Flume, Oh Sees, Mogwai, Kate Tempest, Haim, Brian Wilson, Freya Ridings, The War on Drugs, Macklemore, Kurt Vile, Royal Blood, Future Islands, Wu-tang Clan, Rodriguez, Nils Frahm, and many more. Our cultural programme includes national touring for acts and shows such as Jon Ronson, Eric Andre, Akala, Ross Edgley, Making a Murderer (Netflix), the Staircase (Netflix), Silent Hill (Konami), Welcome to Night Vale, and many more. Our festival productions include the Mutations Music Festival, Wave Podcast Festival and multiple events at Edinburgh Fringe.

As we continue to expand we are looking for a creative and passionate regional marketing officer to join our team in Central Brighton. In this role you will form a key part of our innovative marketing team, making key first hand decisions on the direction and content of our regional strategy. Working alongside our London marketing officers and our digital marketing team you will be liaising directly with company directors and our events programmers to deliver high level campaigns.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Generate sales and uphold regional marketing positioning

  • Planning and putting into action core regional marketing strategy

  • Continually refine our regional strategy in line with current trends

  • Actively overseeing the physical marketing delivery of our regional campaigns

  • Producing marketing plans and strategy guides for our regions

  • Liaising with our regional venues to maximise our marketing and sales opportunities

  • Producing detailed, results based marketing reports for company directors

 

Personal requirements:

  • 2 years experience in regional music and/or theatre marketing (preferred)

  • First hand experience of regional marketing differences

  • Fantastic communication skills

  • A passion and motivation for seeing direct financial results through marketing

  • Experience taking responsibility for small, medium and large marketing budgets and confidently operating without assistance

  • Proactive, enthusiastic and passionate about adapting to the ever-changing world of regional marketing

  • A raw passion for live music and events, already regularly attending concerts week in and week out

  • Thorough knowledge of the roster of acts and events One Inch Badge produce

  • Exceptional attention to detail – particularly when writing copy

  • Great at multi-tasking – able to divide time between tasks effectively and prioritise when needed

  • A team player – willing to work flexibly to tackle the companies focus on any given day

  • Self motivating and able to work independently

  • Proven Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)

  • Proficient in Excel

  • An understanding of physical print manufacture requirements

This full time role is 35 hours per week plus an additional 3.5 evenings per month as a key member of the companies live concert team.
