The Sales Supervisor will lead the day to day sales management for DTG’s (Disney Theatrical Group) touring productions of The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast, in the UK/Ireland. The primary focus is to deliver the ticket revenue objectives and manage the ticket inventory for each market whilst building and maintaining venue relationships. This is a full time opportunity offered on a fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave.

The Sales Supervisor will work closely with both the DTG (Disney Theatrical Group) and venue marketing/sales teams to ensure sales strategies are aligned and that all teams are working towards joint goals. Working with the venues, the Sales Supervisor will create a partnership with the box office/sales teams to learn from their approaches, and to educate the teams with DTG’s revenue and inventory management principles.

The Sales Supervisor (in conjunction with Senior management) will create pricing and sales strategies which includes group sales, accessibility and education outreach. They will track and update revenue forecasts and weekly sales goals for each market alongside detailed and accurate sales analysis and reporting to guide DTG sales and marketing teams from all levels.

Responsibilities

Sales

  • Lead any on sales, including preparing a detailed pricing/seat configuration documentation
  • Provide strategy and guidance for venue box offices to ensure sales are maximized at all times
  • Proof and test all ticketing set up prior to on sale ensuring each season is accurately set up to avoid revenue loss
  • Monitor advance sales to identify challenge periods to ensure these receive relevant marketing and promotional support
  • Lead internal meetings, marketing agency and venue meetings alongside Marketing team ensuring planning progresses and information is communicated to the benefit of all DTG teams
  • Representing DTG Sales & Ticketing Analytics department at trade events and industry meetings and general liaison and relationship building with ticket agents

Revenue & Inventory Management

  • Proactively monitor all sales to ensure pricing is in line with demand so that revenue can be maximized
  • Manage sales at discounted rates, ensuring these are applied for suitable performances and inventory, with the overall purpose of increasing revenue and attendance
  • Inform and educate venue revenue management teams on pricing strategy and gain a detailed understanding of any venue revenue management systems in order to approve all pricing implementations from such systems
  • Supervise the venue management of the inventory to maximize sales and optimize revenue, this includes the release of holds and the masking of inventory as and when required to encourage sales
  • Create a strategic approach to our Education Outreach ticket allocations ensuring minimal revenue loss and optimal attendance gain
  • Support the London productions as required

Reporting & Analysis

  • Working closely with DTG Marketing, update weekly sales forecasts based on sales trends and marketing activities
  • Maintain reporting files for each season ensuring they are fully operational; this could include some data formatting prior each on sale
  • Distribute sales reports with particular focus on presenting sales data and communicating sales strategies to DTG EMEA Senior management and DTG NY
  • Compile any ad hoc reports and analysis as required

Other

  • Proof read all sales information on websites and other marketing material to ensure pricing, performance dates/times and access information is accurate
  • Supervise any special events (opening nights, trade events etc.) ensuring relevant information is shared with key sales partners /guests
  • Manage house seat allocations and release schedule to ensure inventory is available for sale via relevant sales channels

Skills & Experience

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to deliver sales goals
  • Proven ability to develop accurate sales reports, highlight sales trends and recommend pricing/promotional strategies
  • Experienced user of MS Excel
  • Confident user of other computer systems (such as MS Windows) with the ability to quickly learn and use various box office ticketing systems
  • Understanding and knowledge of box office ticketing systems useful but not essential
