CTS Eventim’s preliminary results showcase strong year

Ticketing and live entertainment services company CTS Eventim has delivered a strong business performance in 2022, according to its preliminary results. 

While the full report for last year will be published at the end of March, CTS Eventim has said that consolidated revenue rose by 372% year on year, from €408m (£363m/$434m) in 2021 to €1.9bn in 2022.

The figure means that the company’s revenue has reached a new all-time high, which is an improvement of 33% compared to the previous record figure from 2019, prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the ticketing segment, revenue amounted to €541m in 2022 compared to the previous year’s €224m. The figure is also 12% more than in 2019 where revenue totalled €482m.

Normalised EBITDA equated to €263m in 2022 compared to the previous year’s €177m – this is also a 20% increase on 2019’s €220m.

The live entertainment segment’s revenue reached €1.41bn in 2022, compared to 2021’s €191m and a 43% increase on 2019’s €986m.

Normalised EBITDA for the live entertainment sector reached €121m last year, an increase of 2021’s €31m, and almost twice as high as 2019’s total of €66m.
