English Premier League club Leeds United has implemented a flat 10% price increase for all general admission season ticket holders for the 2023-24 season.

The renewal window also opened yesterday (Monday) and will run until Friday April 7, with any unrenewed season tickets being made available to the 21,850 supporters on the waiting list.

The price increase is the club’s second increase in the last 12 seasons, with Leeds arguing that it will only partially offset the “significant increase we have seen in match day operation costs over the same period, which is below the prevailing rate of inflation”.

Leeds’ lowest-priced 2022-23 season ticket was £20.21 (€23/$24) per game and the increase for the 2023-24 campaign will see this rise by £2 per match. Adult season ticket prices will start from the equivalent £22.21 per game, meaning 19 games will cost £421.99.

Under-16s season tickets will cost the equivalent of £7.63 per game and under-11s will cost £4.42 per match.

If Leeds does not maintain its Premier League status, supporters will be able to claim a rebate of the 10% increase meaning prices will be kept the same as the current season.

The club said: “We appreciate that any increase in the current economic climate is unwelcome, particularly when it coincides with poor performance on the pitch. The decision has not been taken lightly but we believe the new pricing is consistent with both our principle of running the club’s finances responsibly and maintaining our commitment to affordable football at Elland Road.”

Season tickets will be sold exclusively online through the club’s SeatGeek platform. Leeds announced its partnership with SeatGeek in February last year.

Holders will also be able to spread payments across six instalments through ticketing finance provider, V12 Finance.

Seasonal hospitality guest pricing will also increase by 10% with details on away season tickets for next season to be confirmed in due course.

‘United for 20 Years’ ticket holders do not need to renew their season tickets online, with their renewals for next season automatically renewed by Leeds United.
