We are looking for aspiring individuals to join our dynamic team to fill the following position:

Assistant Operations Manager

 

Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Operations Manager in the planning, organising, and managing all issues related to the operational logistics of the annual film festival, Cine Fan Programmes and ancillary programmes of the Society;
  • To supervise and co-ordinate all ticketing matters including co-ordination between ticketing service providers and screening venues, ticketing system set up, allocation of tickets, ticket refund arrangement, priority booking, preparation of film scheduling and sales reports etc.;
  • To supervise and co-ordinate all website and mobile app matters including work with vendors to solve any problem with website and mobile app; Handle and lead the team in data input and updates for festival preparation and during festival;
  • To supervise all technical logistics and screening matters including booking of screening venues, liaison with screening venues, arrangement of film censorship, film checking, film subtitles projection, and film insurance etc.;
  • To supervise all operational logistics matters of the events of the Society, such as red-carpet opening ceremony, press conference, film premieres, and seminars etc.;
  • To co-ordinate the set up and management of the festival temporary office during the Annual HKIFF;
  • To handle customer enquiries and complaints;
  • To prepare tender documents, co-ordinate tender briefing/presentation sessions, and prepare tender reports;
  • To conduct research, prepare usable and accurate reports and analyses to management from time to time; and
  • To perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and / or management from time to time.

 

Requirements:

  • University graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and a good team player
  • Attention to details, good communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • At least 4 years’ relevant experience in supervisory level
  • Proficiency of PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access);
  • Knowledge of film format, DCP checking and subtitle production will be an advantage
  • Require to work overtime and at irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during peak seasons
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Operations Officer
