The role:

An exciting opportunity is available for an energetic and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join our Victorian team based at Footscray. You will have the opportunity to embark on an exciting journey to use your previous experience to expand your career into a sales-based position. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the organisation’s sales department, driving business growth and success. The role will report to the Head of Commercial.

 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with identifying new sales opportunities and generating leads through research and networking.
  • Assisting with managing the sales pipeline and providing assistance to the Head of Commercial until revenue and contracts are  successfully secured.
  • Canvassing for business via cold calling, emailing and setting up meetings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales/marketing plans.
  • Conducting market research to identify target industries and specific companies. 
  • Liaising with key internal sales staff and industry associations to ensure opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with new and existing customers. 

 

About you:

  • Most importantly, a willingness and desire to sell
  • A love of networking, meeting people and an outgoing nature
  • 12+ months experience in a similar role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid time and organisational skills. 
  • You’ll have a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in a sales role (preferred but not essential)
  • Love of sports and events
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
