Role Description

 

You will be part of Live Nation Concerts’ Business Intelligence team. We use technology to gather and analyse company data, transforming it into easily shareable, actionable insights that empower critical decision making across the business.

 

This role is an exciting opportunity to build your career in Business Intelligence whilst working with data related to some of the biggest artists and tours in the world.

 

You will primarily be working with event ticketing data, which sits at the core of our very complex business. Each of the thousands of concerts we promote every year is managed in a meticulous level of detail. This generates millions of records of data in our bespoke ticketing system (Halo) that you will need to understand, manage, summarise, and share both across our business and externally to artists, agents, venues and co-promoters.

 

We are looking for someone with great technical skills who likes working in dynamic environment and building relationships with non-technical colleagues. Someone who wants to learn about our business, has a genuine drive for efficiency and who understands the importance of accurate reporting.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

 

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of using MS Excel to an advanced level is essential.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of writing queries of SQL (other coding languages also considered) essential
  • Demonstrable knowledge of designing and publishing reports in MS SSRS preferred
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Clear and concise written communication skills.
  • Previous experience of working within a dynamic, fast paces business and/or a solid understanding of the live music industry a bonus.

What the role includes

 

This role focuses on the analysing and sharing of data – making sure both Business Intelligence and stakeholders across the business have access to the reports and data that they need.

  • Manage existing core weekly BI reports (Excel, SQL) and deliver to the wider business
  • Support BI team with gathering data for monthly & annual reporting
  • Manage distribution and accuracy of automated sales reports sent both internally and to industry (artist agents, managers, venues etc)
  • Maintain existing reports within self-service reporting suite
  • Respond to any support requests received via our BI support queue
  • Identify and correct any data integrity issues within Halo SQL database
  • Ensure standardisation of reporting across the department
  • Support ticketing team with twice weekly sales update process & identify areas for improvement
  • Run SQL queries to provide ticketing team with any data required to support their roles
  • Support Business Intelligence team in any other duties as required
  • Support ticketing team with any reporting needs as required
