As a platform that can deliver real-time user services and analytics in a physical location, the potential for providing a compelling SaaS to markets outside of Theme Parks is substantial.

Role Summary

Having built our SaaS business to $1.5m in ARR with one technical founder, we are now looking for an experienced Chief Executive Officer to join our ambitious startup. The CEO can be based in the UK, the US, EU or elsewhere.

You will be responsible for taking the business from where it is today and scaling it to $10m in ARR and beyond over the next couple of years. You will need to consider the current composition of the business, its customers and the market and determine how best to set the direction to achieve our ambitions. You will also need to consider the business’s future investment requirements.

You will be treated as a “late co-founder”, working closely with the CTO and regularly reporting to an experienced board of directors, who are able to lend support and assistance where required..

Objectives

  • Assess and plan, with support from the board, a solid strategy that will scale the business from its current position to a $10m ARR in the next 24-30 months.
  • Raise the required level of investment to deliver on the plan.
  • Recruit & coach a leadership team and define a longer-term HR strategy..

Responsibilities

  • Drive the next investment round, using your own network and those of the board to identify potential investors.
  • Work closely with the CTO and leadership team to develop a clear strategic vision for growth and effectively communicate that vision throughout the organisation.
  • Hire and coach a leadership team across the business as required
  • Identify and resolve issues across the sales, marketing and customer success functions to continually drive performance improvements.
  • Determine options for moving into other vertical markets.
  • Continually monitor the marketplace and analyse opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics.
  • Take ownership of enterprise sales and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Work with the CTO to ensure that the product roadmap matches the customer need and will unlock future growth

Requirements

  • Previous founder of a SaaS B2B business that you helped scale to at least $10m in ARR.
  • Solid experience of B2B enterprise sales and GTM strategy and execution (ACVs of at least $20,000).
  • Strong technical knowledge: able to talk confidently to engineers.
  • Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach.
  • Experience securing growth capital or playing a part in the fundraising process at at least a Series A stage.
  • Experience in the Theme Park industry nice to have, but not a requirement.
