THE TEAM

 

Ticketmaster UK, part of Live Nation Entertainment is the largest live entertainment company in the world, consisting of five businesses: concert promotion and venue operations, sponsorship, ticketing solutions, ecommerce and artist management. The Ticketmaster Marketing team drives customer engagement via our Content, CRM and Performance Marketing channels, creating campaigns to retain existing fans, acquire new fans and ultimately drive sales.

 

 

THE JOB

 

The role of the Digital Sub-Editor is to edit copy for the Ticketmaster UK and Ireland sites and customer-facing communications, ensuring factual, spelling and grammatical accuracy and maintaining the brand tone of voice.

 

You will be an experienced and vigilant sub-editor with meticulous proof-reading skills and top-drawer attention to detail, who knows the weekend from The Weeknd and is able to quickly spot an erroneous em-dash.

 

You’ll be subbing a constant stream of copy across e-mail, social posts, artist biographies, editorial and marketing copy, so you’ll need excellent organisational skills and the ability to turn around sparkling copy to tight deadlines.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Sub-editing copy across all customer-facing channels to ensure the spelling and grammatical accuracy and to ensure all copy meets house style and the brand tone of voice
  • Meticulously fact-checking social posts, email copy, editorial features and more to ensure accuracy
  • Using web content management systems to publish and update copy
  • Working with the Head of Content and Senior Content Manager to update and maintain the style guide and tone of voice
  • Working with the wider marketing department to deliver word-perfect CRM, social and on-site copy
  • Contributing editorial ideas and writing artist biographies and copy for the editorial platform

 

 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Proven experience in a subbing role in an editorial, content marketing or media organisation
  • Experience using a CMS (content management system), particularly WordPress and Prismic
  • Educated to a degree level in Journalism (or a related subject) or substantial experience as a sub-editor in a professional capacity
  • Able to edit quickly and accurately while adapting to brand tone of voice and maintaining readability
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software packages to a competent standard
  • Experience with Salesforce is desirable but not essential
