Islington Assembly Hall (IAH) is a live music venue owned and operated by Islington Council. Since opening in 2010, IAH has attracted huge names such as Coldplay, Skepta, Ed Sheeran, Laura Mvula, Ghetts and Jesse Ware to name a few. We need an enthusiastic, detail orientated person to join our team as our Events Coordinator – Ticketing and Marketing.

Main duties of the job

As Events Coordinator – Ticketing and Marketing, you will be one of the first points of contact for hire enquires, proactively responding to them and negotiating rates to maximise profits.

You will coordinate a wide range of events, planning logistics and requirements to ensure the smooth running of all events, including live shows, weddings, conferences and internal bookings.  When required, you will duty manage events, ensuring they are delivered in a safe and effective way for all involved.

You will need to demonstrate  experience in a similar role, be somebody who has a passion for detail and loves working at events. You will be required to work flexible and unsocial hours including bank holidays, weekend, late-night and early-morning shifts (to be recompensed by taking time off in lieu).

You will be responsible for the ticketing and box office set up for all events, liaising with ticket agents and ensuring accurate records are kept and handovers are completed to a high standard for the box office staff.

You will be responsible for the venue’s marketing & communication campaigns internally and externally within a marketing budget, creating assets, reporting on the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns and driving our social presence forward in creative and researched ways.
