Leading the operational delivery of events for our world-class venues is just one of the many challenges you’ll face here. We’ll also rely on you to devise and direct a commercial strategy for venue hire and filming, and identify opportunities to increase our income. Developing new business and excellent relationships with clients will be vital too. When it comes to overseeing the procurement of suppliers for events or coming up with a pricing strategy for events and ticketed attractions, again, we’ll count on you to deliver.
Collaborating with Marketing and Communications colleagues to develop effective marketing and PR plans, working with key partners to develop new event business opportunities and acting as an ambassador for the Museum at networking events – all are aspects of this exciting multi-faceted role.
To succeed, you’ll need substantial event experience gained in a similar unique venue. If you’ve worked in a historic listed venue, even better. What’s for certain is that you’re used to leading and managing a team, closing sales, winning new business and negotiating contracts. You also have a track record in developing new income streams and achieving £multi-million revenue targets. Proactive, entrepreneurial and inspirational – you’re all of these things. What’s more, you’re renowned for delivering events to an outstanding standard for demanding clients.
