Head of Ticketing

 

Your mission will be to oversee the successful implementation of all Games’ Ticketing Programs by the OCOGs, orchestrating effective collaboration between OCOGs, Stakeholders and Providers to achieve fulfilment objectives and commercial targets. This includes guiding and enabling the effective delivery of reliable ticketing systems and solutions which consistently meet requirements and support the sale and distribution of tickets globally.

 

What will I do?

 

  • Supports the VP of HAT define and implement the IOC’s Ticketing commercial, systems and fulfilment objectives within the IOC and with the OCOGs, Stakeholders and third-party Providers.
  • Manages the day to day relationships with all Games’ Ticketing Program senior leadership teams within the OCOGs, Stakeholders and appointed Providers.
  • Oversees and guides each OCOG to define and implement their specific ticketing Business Plans which meet requirements, including defined system, product, and delivery objectives..
  • Enables achieving optimal ticketing revenues per each Games which meets commercial targets while also being balanced within each Games’ unique local context and market conditions.
  • Works closely with the OCOGs’ Ticketing leadership teams
  • Manages the ongoing relationship with the IOC/OCOGs’ chosen Ticketing Provider(s) fostering close collaboration to achieve common goals.
  • In close collaboration with the Hospitality team and internal client departments, oversees the implementation of ongoing dialogue with IOC’s core Stakeholders (TOPs/RHBs/NOCs/IFs) to evaluate evolving needs and ensure the Ticketing Programs meet or exceed expectations.
  • Enables and leads the implementation of a new global ticket sales and distribution model making available all Games’ tickets worldwide.
  • Oversees and supports the OCOGs’ and Ticketing Provider(s)’ provision of innovative and relevant products and services for all Stakeholders and Fans by staying abreast of industry trends, market/stakeholder needs.
  • Oversees the OCOGs and Provider(s)’ successful ticketing operations and fulfilment with all Games, including global international sales and distributions channels via web, digital, box office, call center.
  • Lead and manage a team of dynamic, motivated, and skilled professionals which support you oversee and ensure successful ticketing programs for all Games.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Hospitality team to leverage shared resources, align mutual interests and foster strong teamwork in achieving the Unit’s goals.

 

What am I bringing to the team?

  • MBA or University undergraduate degree in business, marketing, digital/technology
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in leading commercial ticketing programs for global events or tech companies
  • Exceptional understanding of current ticketing industry business, systems, sales and marketing landscape
  • Strong experience working with technology business systems through multi party integration and change
  • Efficiency in steering complex ticketing technology requirements, including architecture, security and testing
  • Willingness and ability to respectfully navigate diverse cultural, programmatic, and regulatory environments
  • Excellent command of the corporate tools and ability to follow the internal user rules
  • Excellent leadership skills to foster collaboration towards common goals amongst diverse Stakeholders
  • Proven experience in leading a seasoned team, guiding, and motivating them to consistently deliver
  • Ability to negotiate with and manage relationships with multiple external Stakeholders and business partners
  • Confident and capable in a political environment
  • Extensive experience presenting results to executive management and senior officials
  • Confident working in and across a matrixed organisation structure to deliver successful
  • Fluency in English, with excellent command of French an advantage
