  • Responsible for developing and overseeing touring and live event activities for Warner Music Asia’s domestic artists, as well as for certain international artists.
  • Drive growth of touring and live event revenue in Asia by working with the local affiliates.
  • Support the development of Asian artists by maximizing their exposure to fans beyond their home market, through festivals, music events, shows, touring, etc.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Create and oversee execution of touring and live event strategy for Asia artists.
  • Be the central point of contact in Asia. Develop and maintain key relationships with regional promoters, booking agents, business managers, venue managers, talent buyers, tour publicists, etc.
  • Stay at the forefront of news and trends, keep track of all major music festivals and events in Asia and around the world. Promote events to and liaise with the MDs, A&Rs & Artist Management teams based on their artist development plans and needs.
  • Act as a central hub to consolidate the latest information such as date, venue, theme, vision, genre, budget, etc of the events.
  • Get to know our domestic and selected international artists, in order to discuss with local teams to pick and choose from our rosters to perform at the events.
  • Proactively promote & pitch our artists to the event organizers/promoters/booking agents, to maximize our opportunities and exposure in the marketplace.
  • Create and develop new IP for live events & festivals across the region.
  • Work with Brand Partnership team to fund these IPs through brand sponsorships and generate Touring/Ticketing revenue.
  • Help to negotiate the commercial or deal terms for the artists and the affiliates. Support contract signing and ensure compliance and execution.
  • Create commercial models for touring solutions with Finance team.
  • Drive to achieve annual revenue target and manage budget, P&L and credit line.

Skills And Competency Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in touring / live events business in Asia
  • Pre-existing network with promoters, booking agents, venues and festivals across the region
  • Comprehensive understanding of touring business and event planning fundamentals
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic & willingness to contribute and share in a team environment
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated budget and audit competency
  • Good at multitasking
  • With can-do attitude and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate and develop strong relationships at all levels within the organization
  • Understanding of / experience with different genres of music a plus
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is a plus
