As the organizers of the world’s biggest inclusive  sports event for people with and without intellectual disabilities, we are expecting around 7,000 athletes as well as Unified partners from 170 countries  in Berlin from 17 to 25 June 2023. We are sending a worldwide signal with  Special Olympics World Games: our goal is to make a sustainable contribution to  an inclusive society and cause people to rethink things by hosting World Games  and afterwards. With our hearts and our actions, we are committed to  increasingly opening up sports clubs for people with intellectual disabilities  and to continuing to promote sport in the service organizations for people with  disabilities.
To strengthen our team in division ,,Constituent Services”, we are looking for the following to join us as soon as possible:
Sales and Engagement, Manager (m/f/d) 
Special Olympics World Games 2023 in Berlin
Full time / 40 hours a week / limited until July 2023
WE WOULD ENTRUST YOU WITH FULFILLING THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
  • Overseen by the Senior Manager of Ticketing and Spectator Services and working in tandem with our Legacy team, you will be responsible for and coordinate the daily running of the Fans in the Stands program for the Special Olympics World Games in 2023
  • Manage the Fans in the Stands team (3 people inclusive of yourself)
  • Oversee and facilitate the sales and engagement plan and actively engage with potential visiting groups to bring new members to the program. Including approaching local community groups, stakeholders and other externals. This is done in tandem with the Education functional area, who will be engaging with schools, universities and other groups
  • Oversee the daily management of the CRM system and ensuring the system is kept up to date and streamlined (Monday.com)
  • Work with the Marketing and Public Relations team to put together marketing campaigns and collateral targeting our key groups
  • Manage the logistics of the Fans in the Stands onsite experiences during the Games. Including overseeing the Fans in the Stands volunteers who will meet and assists groups as they arrive to the venues
  • Work with your team to facilitate the ticket booking process for each group and their pre-event engagement
  • Work with Education team to compile education resources and pre-event information for each target group
  • Coordinate the pre-event communication plan with our Fans in the Stands members, including facilitating initiatives that encourage pre-event communication between members and visiting athletes
  • In partnership with our Sponsorship team, manage the relationship with our naming rights sponsor for the program (currently in the market)
IT WOULD BE OUTSTANDING IF YOU CAN OFFER THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
  • Completed studies in marketing/sales, arts, business, tourism or sports management or a comparable qualification
  • Ability and willingness to communicate in both English and German (essential)
  • Several years of experience in a similar position working in a sales, ticketing or community management based role. Ideally in an arts, culture, sports or education environment
  • Knowledge of CRM or event management systems such as SalesForce or Monday.com
  • Ideally a knowledge of the German sporting landscape
  • Knowledge of customer service management support systems such as Zendesk
  • Strong ability to work effectively in groups of people from other disciplines and at different levels of the organization
  • A history of providing superior level of customer service and a love of creating connections and engaging with stakeholders
  • Ideally experience managing people in a sales, education or event environment
  • Sensitivity to the needs of participants and volunteers
  • Structured and efficient way of working
