About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) to play an integral role in our business development team and help deliver ticketing growth opportunities. The successful candidate will be someone with excellent problem solving skills and ingenuity, who can help us meet our ambitious targets, as we seek to innovate and fulfil our mission to become a global ticketing platform.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we experience record sales and see no limits to our potential. You will be expected to operate across the sales cycle, from implementing creative strategies to source leads, qualification, pitching to prospective clients, structuring commercial proposals and ongoing relationship management. You will work with, and be supported by, the wider business development and account management team.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Lead-sourcing and qualification across different verticals and event-types.
  • Pitch preparation, demos, and attending pitch meetings.
  • Preparing commercial proposals and negotiating deals.
  • Building positive and lasting relationships with clients to ensure customer success.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to ensure strong sales and account management process.
  • Co-ordinating with design and product teams to help shape platform features and deliver best-in-class technology for our clients and customers.
  • Staying on top of industry trends and developments through networking.

What we’re looking for

 

Essential

  • 5+ years’ experience working in ticketing or events.
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to spot / create opportunities.
  • Experience in pitching and winning new business.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Go-getting attitude – you’re ambitious and believe you get out what you put in.
  • Self-starters. You’ll get trained and you are part of a team, but we’re moving fast, and we need people who can think for themselves.

Desirable

  • An understanding of ticketing and event management would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Proven experience identifying trends, market challenges, and competitive offerings in your vertical and territory
  • Experience with Hubspot or a similar CRM system would be preferable.
