Together with you, we want to put together a thrilling major sports event that makes history.
As the organizers of the world’s biggest inclusive  sports event for people with and without intellectual disabilities, we are expecting around 7,000 athletes as well as Unified partners from 170 countries  in Berlin from 17 to 25 June 2023. We are sending a worldwide signal with  Special Olympics World Games: our goal is to make a sustainable contribution to  an inclusive society and cause people to rethink things by hosting World Games  and afterwards. With our hearts and our actions, we are committed to  increasingly opening up sports clubs for people with intellectual disabilities  and to continuing to promote sport in the service organizations for people with  disabilities.
To strengthen our team in division ,,Constituent Services”, we are looking for the following to join us as soon as possible:
    “Spectator Communication, Coordinator” (m/f/d) 
Special Olympics World Games 2023 in Berlin
    Full time / 40 hours a week / limited until 2023
WE WOULD ENTRUST YOU WITH FULFILLING THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
  • Oversee and implement our spectator communication plan
  • Manage our communication systems, including email, CRM and phone systems
  • Provide a structure for responding to spectators for our staff and contractors
  • Provide support to our ticketing team as required on ticketing projects
  • Work with our Marketing and Communication team to provide accurate, timely and clear information on the website and other platforms such as the app
  • Work with the wider team to ensure our venues are as accessible as possible and communicate the necessary information to the general public
  • Identifying and executing sales opportunities, including up-selling, packages and new target groups
  • Work with the Ticketing and Spectators Service team to answer general public enquiries received pre-event and during via the website, app, online chat and phone.
  • Coordinating the relationship with third party customer service suppliers
  • Work with colleagues towards creating a ‘Green Games’ ensuring sustainability is top of mind for all ticketing initiatives
  • Overseeing and training of volunteers in ticketing and customer service procedures as required
IT WOULD BE OUTSTANDING IF YOU CAN OFFER THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
  • Completed studies in marketing/sales, arts, business, tourism or sports management/science or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in a similar position, ideally with experience working in the German sports event industry
  • A strong skill set in communication. With an ability to write well in both German and English
  • Knowledge of customer service management, including working with third party support for online chat services / chat-bots or similar
  • Strong ability to work effectively in groups of people from other disciplines and at different levels of the organization
  • Strong guest focus and high level of service orientation
  • Experience working with people with disabilities is desirable
  • Sensitivity to the needs of participants and volunteers
  • Structured and efficient way of working
  • Ability and willingness to communicate in both English and German (essential)
